Only reason you said that’s because you want to make sure it doesn’t clash with yours....... car I mean (I think)... ?

There's another reason -- but you'd need to attend Mid Am to find out!

He’s talking about my wife’s finger nail polish where she was helping me work on the car...Toca I hope you can, we do have a good time and Rays a little  Less sarcastic and actually funny in person.

I have never noticed Ray to be less sarcastic in person.

This week I’ve started working on the ‘67 1600. The plan is to pig cheek this one like I did my ‘70 1600 and then paint it back to its original Polaris color. I might two tone it with a dark navy or a really deep purple.

For the most part this car is pretty solid. No holes in the floor pan, strut towers, spare tire well, door bottoms or frame rails. The rear outer rockers are toast though. So I’m starting there.

I’m waiting for some tools to arrive this weekend before I start welding. should be fun though. I’m new to mig welding. My plan is to stitch and plug weld the new panel. I’m not too worried about it looking perfect since it will be covered up by flares.

Anyhow, this will be a slow going project, but it feels good to get it started.

Decided to finally work on some wheels I bought a few years ago. I cleaned them with oven cleaner and sprayed down with the pressure washer. Still uncertain what color to respray them and or polish the lips. Tomorrow I'll start sanding them down.

Well, not today but 5 years ago today. We were on our way out of Austin heading through the Texas Hill Country to Fredericksburg for Terry Sayther’s 02berfest weekend.

I installed birthday present to myself-a Momo Prototipo! The turbo wheel I have will get a refresh and I will begin my search for the correct horn button and hub shroud. Also installed a 5mm phenolic carb spacer, something I should have done a long time ago. Now it fires right up like it did with the original Solex. Lastly...affixed the paint code decal which has been sitting in my cabinet for ten years(!). I haven't driven her for a good while (8-9 mos maybe) due to work travel, soccer coaching and the carb issue, so getting back on the road at this strange time felt great, especially with the empty roads!
