Should a '75 car have those j hooks? I have a j hook and the knurled nut I found in some stuff that came w/ the car.  I really couldn't figure exactly where they go on my plastic grills.

Like irdave said, I'm not smart enough to post just the diagram.

Bimmer.com instead of realoem.  Try it.  You might like it.  :)  And less ads.  And they're our people.

Dave.

'76, totally stock. Completely.

Have you ever wondered how to install a rear window by yourself? Nobody was home to help but I got the job done anyway. A5ECA8A6-9880-4526-9CB9-E43D0AEE9BC7.jpeI’ll make sure I have help for the windshield.  Sorry for the sideways picture. Not sure why I have no text in first pictures?

Big day yesterday. Wiring harnesses out (along with probably 10 wires that go nowhere or have terrible installs and were plainly added by POs along the way). Grill and kidney off, headlights and buckets off. Windshield wiper motor and assembly out. Ignition components out. No nasty surprises.

Added a ground to the back of the instrument cluster, and also took the opportunity to disassemble and clean the inside of the gauge faces. They were gross. Very easy job, even a Navy man can do it.

Radiator out, coolant hoses labeled and out, shroud and fan off, alternator off, Weber off. Weird gasket/adaptor under the Weber just can't be right. Never seen that before. Heater box out. Shout out with thanks to everybody who warned about the fragility of the heater box - I was extra careful and got it out without a scratch.

Someone wasn't paying attention and put the gasket on upside down, that was probably not helping performance.
