The answer is always Miata... unless you have a 2002. :)

I loved my Miata. Regret selling it actually, but couple cars later and here I am with a 2002tii. Plan on some track time for the 02, but not full fledged race car.

Installed new (to me) steering wheel. Still waiting on horn button and I’ll have to replace the horn thingy that contacts the circle contact (can’t recall the name at the moment)

Did a good clean then drove her for the first time in a while. These cars are magic.

I hate cleaning it because I see how bad the body is. I have a lot of work ahead of me. Oof

Drove it! 72tii

The L light came on and the battery died. I was able to drive it home though for 20 mins with the lights on…so the alternator must be working just enough to power these things? I’ll have to do research. Maybe Voltage Regulator or belt just isn’t tight enough.

Work on the 75 this weekend: Removed and prep'd the brake calipers and drums for paint.  Finally removed the transmission and drive shaft.  Prep'd the rear suspension sub-assy for removal, but it's hung up on one of the front mounting bolts.  Passenger side slid right off, but the drivers side just won't budge.  Any ideas?

You need to keep the subframe some what level and then pry the side thats stuck, a bit of penitrating oil will help.

Thanks for the response.  I've done those two things, jack on the pass side plus under the diff, penetrating oil, but the prying just stretches out the rubber mount.  Will have to get back at it next weekend.
