Finished wiring the Hellas, and finally installed the grills. Decided to take a break and go for a drive. Suspension's a little stiff, steering is ginger at 70, driver's seat sucks. But the grin eased the worries, made my ears hurt...Onshore.thumb.jpg.63225a705525b7445bce0c84a77e9328.jpg

@OldRoller I like the placement of those. What brackets did you go with?

That looks like Phillipe’s brackets, which I also have. Great value at $40-ish a pair. See photo below.

This afternoon I spent a few hours at the garage and installed H4 LED headlights as well as rewrapped a bunch of related wiring with age appropriate 3M friction tape like original. Didn’t have zip ties and appropriate drill bits to complete install but happy overall so far.
This is a plug and play kit I bought some years ago for my 1969 F100, since sold. The kit is made by D’s Nuts, aka F100fasteners on eBay and was very reasonable at $115.  I realized it would plug and play the same into the 02 so I installed them.

We’ll see how bright they are when I finish the install.

Yes, same brackets. Bolt to the two front support uprights, strong and steady. They do require clipping one small vertical rib of the grill, doesn't affect the mounting or rigidity of the grill. I used Weatherpac connectors on the light wiring for easy removal/access if needed.

Hacker of many things... master of none.

Picked up my WN upgraded radiator with new side exit for adding ac to the Tii. Only found one guy in dallas willing to do it. Should work great. Thanks for the info that bottom could be changed vs. buying a new one!

The fellow who did mine a few years ago has now retired and sold his building, which will shortly be demolished and repurposed, further thinning the ranks of these brass craftmen….

Local photographer asked Barney and me if she could take some pics of Barney’s coupe ( @BarneyT ) and my 02 Stella for a vintage art exhibit.  Can’t wait to see the pics she took!

** update... it worked!  **

Had to dive into the dash today to pull out the hazard switch.

Funny, my glovebox has a rattle that goes away for a bit if you open/close the door.  Today I closed the door and my hazards started flashing!  Seems the switch isn't catching well, so I'm going to give the repair a shot using what I found here:

Hope this works!

Today, I asked one of my 02's (the future home of my M10 Rebuild Project) to help me host my annual  Gearhead/Handball/Golf/Liars party.  She did a great job.

I think this rotor must have been on the car when it was pulled out of the field. All those little dots are rust pits and you could probably have used those ridges as a Hot Wheels track. Installed a new Brembo from Rock Auto and new Porterfield RS-4 pads.

I went for a drive afterwards and I wasn’t thrown through the windshield by the braking power of the new rotors and pads but some bedding in should help get me closer to that. I should probably fix that one stuck drum brake adjuster now… The list never ends but for some reason finishing this last batch of projects feels like I’ve moved into another phase of “sorted”. It just drives that next level better from the sloppy mess it was when I got it.

Debating on whether or not I like my new Marchal covers...Jury is still out.

Verdict: guilty of looking cool as hell.  Personally, I’m a huge fan of the Marchal iconography. The covers (and the lights with the raised cat embossing/casting in the glass) are always a hard yes from me.

That reminds me of a photo shoot where my friend used my car. I don’t think I ever posted about it.
