I like it allot! I love the looks he's doing over at Koogleworks.

If I were to offer a suggestion of improvement I would, however paint the top-side in your body color to match/blend in, and leave the black the raw aluminum. Could be hot ;)

There could be a functional benefit to that. I do notice a reflection in the rear view mirror and keep thinking there’s something behind me. I’m sure I’ll get used to it being there, but in body color, I might not have to.

I’m sure I’ll do absolutely nothing with this suggestion though. I’ve been meaning to pull the air dam off and paint it for nearly two years. It’s been on the car in matte black gelcoat all that time. It bugged Patrick enough that he painted it after cutting out the intercooler opening.

FINALLY!  I replaced the radiator drain bung with a valve.  No more coolant all over the engine bay, sub-frame and floor when draining the rad.  Didn't seem to matter what precautions I took, always made a mess.

Well done!  I have been fishing around for a similar tap but the thread size isn't common. Where did you get that one from?

Finished installing the radiator hoses, the weird keeper for the ends of the grilles, and the hood release lever and cable.

Picked up my replated rear bumper center section, assembled it with the new ends the PO had acquired, and test fit it.

I don't think I have the correct bolts to attach the bumper to the brackets. They're normal carriage/bumper bolts and the chrome cover bits won't fit properly over them.

When I had my rad re-cored my guy insisted on welding-in a 1/8" NPT standard pipe thread bung.  That was a couple of years ago.  Now I know why he insisted.  It was even difficult to find that small valve in 1/8" pipe thread, with the right-angle drain.

I searched on-line once I measured the plug and found many sources of "drain cocks".  Then I called all my local sources of industrial hose and fittings to see if they stocked.

8 bucks when I finally found someone that carried it.

Note: I also have a W&N high-volume, original spec rad.  It doesn't have a drain plug at all.  A great candidate for a domestic bung and valve.

Fixed my cracked DS motor mount. Still need to file it and clean it up a little but I'm happy with my first welding job. Sorry for the crappy photo.IMG_3615.thumb.JPG.494297191baeecf6e4a55ddabd7c1c30.JPG

Installed the throttle pedal and linkage. I'm going to make a throttle cable for my fuel injection conversion much in the fashion outlined in the how-to article here on FAQ.

Also got a good start on my fuel lines, bending a long section of feed line today. I'll finish up the feed line and do the return line tomorrow.

Bent and installed hard fuel feed line from trunk to firewall today.

Bent the return line but didn't have time to install it, so tomorrow ...

Also, dropped off my Scheel seats and the car's back seat at NKC Auto Trim to be reupholstered.

Time to sort out a couple wiring loose ends (literally), install the headliner and dash, and order a carpet kit.

Received a few horn buttons from a generous faq member.  Applied some elbow grease and a dab of shoe leather conditioner to one.
