Replaced a PITA missing bolt in the back of the glove box. Man, that's a tight space to fit your hand.

And treated Kermit to a bath.

E30 sport seats. I've got modified seat mounts that place them on the floor pan. If you use the stock 02 mounts, these seats will sit way too high.

Let me know if you want to check them out in person. Looks like you're local to me.

Completed the water pump installation today along with new coolant hoses and new 5-blade fan.  Need to purchase a replacement thermoswitch for the radiator since my old one seems to be leaking.

New KF pump belt installed yesterday replaced the 9 year old one.  The shiny aluminum pulley was sourced from Rob Torres in 2009. It still looks brand new.

The Behr compressor bracket wraps around the M10 block so that you must remove it to replace the water pump.

Here is the thermoswitch I need.  Threads are 14 x 1.5 mm

jgerock,

KF belt ??  9 years ??  Sheesh, that thing is good for at least 20 more !!

Cheers,

Carl

While there was nothing wrong with the belt I installed 9 years ago, I had a new one and slipped it on during the water pump installation.  Kind of like a FWD rubber timing belt/water pump combo meal. These are the very last things I want to go wrong on a long road trip.  Big box parts places aren't going to whip these items up when you break down in Timbuktu.

Did he sign that mount ear? :D

My steering box doesn't leak. It's full of grease.

:P

Some of the VW folks swear by this stuff.
