I ordered a new 6v battery. I also received notice from the DMV registration is due. I’ve been registered as non operational. I think I’m going to be ready to register it operational. I don’t plan on driving it much. I see some members have historic plates. What’s the advantage of that? I’ve been teleworking since the pandemic but plan to drive about once a week when I go back. I would hate to get a ticket for abusing historic use plates. I use my trunk lid as a work bench, doesn’t everyone? Take care friends.

Don't overthink it. I used to put historical plates on everything until I found a guy who can make me the classic 70s blue/yellow ca plates and started registering those.

I'm pro-historical plates. It will do your car some good. Be blessed and dont look back.

We had an incredible day today, drove all day  next to/following the Rhine River…crossed it twice on ferries on our route from Maastricht to pforzheim.

OK well first we had to line our cars up and take a picture, and then we proceeded to spend the whole day driving through the mountains in the black forest area to say it was beautiful would be a understatement…

I rebuilt my Weber carb....and got 90% complete when I realized the choke shaft (that flips the butterflies) is missing the lever on the end. I know it was missing when I began the tear down because I methodically laid out all the parts on the bench as I removed them. This rebuild has been a royal pain due to missing parts. Someone rebuilt it before me and left out other critical parts, like a shaft retaining bushing for one of the barrels. Without that lever I can't connect the water choke.

Any body got a spare they want to sell? ( I added my request to Brandon's parts for sale ad.)

This is what I need

the lever is not sold separately, but this is one option.

I tried ordering and they are out of stock! I'd be happy to find a shaft with the lever on it

Well today we drove into the alps, part of the way here on the Autobahn so we’re driving along trying to keep up with Mario Langsten at 160 Kph an hour And got pasted like we were sitting at the stop sign… i’ll let you decide how beautiful it is.
