The Mint is all sorted and packed up here in Minneapolis, ready for a drive to The Vintage. Oil change, odometer repaired, fluids topped up, air in the spare :)Leaving tomorrow morning to make my way to Ohio where I’ll meet up with a crew driving down on Thursday. Stoked for some two-lane adventures between here and Asheville!

Points timing dwell carbs tweak and an oil change.

Had to tech myself how to do points again, been 40 years or so.

Exhaust adjustment.

I am restoring a '74 Yamaha RD250 presently. Had to do the same thing with the points. Been only since the early '90's though :)

I was about to write the same thing!  I've always had a laugh while reading the Blue Repair Manuals... "use BMW Tool # 47 to remove the flux capacitor retainer nut"   Right... like I have any of the BMW special tools...much less a flux capacitor.

There oughta be a thread called “How to Make Special Tools Out of S__t You Can Find at the Local Hardware Store”.  Actually, I’ll bet there is….

You know you think the day can’t get any better and then they let you park your car in front of the main BMW building for pictures and we had so many people taken pictures of our cars from in the building…it has been one incredible day…

They also took us to a secret warehouse where we were NOT allowed to take pictures but they had all of the BMW treasures that you could ever imagine there….

Anyone, what model is the silver fastback in the pictures from the museum?  That back in looks like a mustang fastback.

A variant of the 2800 GTS Coupé Frua, perhap?
