So today is my car's birthday.

I've had my hands full the last several months trying to figure out a running issue, and with @jimk's help, I think I've got it under control.

today was the first day in months my car made me smile.

I'm thinking I'm going back to stock e30m3 brakes so I can go back to 15" wheels. The 16s are just really big, what with the 205/50 and all. The big brakes are sweet, but...

oh yeah, and like Jim, now coil on plug. :)

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

Yeah, the whole thing, actually, now that the connector is right at the firewall instead of coming from around the front of the engine.

Dave.

'76, totally stock. Completely.

My steering box leaks out the top three oz or so, I can't keep it full. Today I topped it off with some thicker stuff, used the bamboo skewer to help push it down the fill hole,  Don't think I'm hurting anything by adding a bit of this Super Lube.

These are still working, which is fairly impressive for 40 y/o paper cone speakers241447634_261803805793482_1350149224196237212_n.jpg

These should be a good upgrade

I suspect installed at a dealership in the late '70s where it also got the sunroof and vinyl roof covering.

And done, you'd never even know besides the better sound quality! The old covers snapped right into place,

Found these 2nd-oversize Mahle pistons in a 1600 M10 engine I recently tore down. Given the condition, it doesn't appear the engine ran for long before being swapped for a 2.0 liter. (Having gathered-up an assortment of 1600 engine components, I plan to build one or two.) -KB

As we have traveled across Europe it’s been the same in every parking lot, our cars are the only ones with any real color…

tomorrow we lose the comfort of the group and head off on our own to the Mediterranean coast.

We navigated the hellscape of the 405 freeway and drove to Torrance to pick up a nice used set of door panels for my girlfriend's '99 Z3 Coupe. Way too much traffic; every time I drive down there I am reminded of why I don't live in the LA area!

Gave the dipstick a fresh coat of paint!

Then bbq'd one of my ignition wires....I guess I didn't fully seat the boot over the plug and it fell out while driving, and cooked itself on the manifold.   Oops.

Good-looking dipstick.  What paint/color code?
