That's awesome.  My buddy didn't even know they made that car in the non-M platform.  Seems like some of the best BMW cars got built by people doing what they weren't supposed to.  I, apparently, have a serious soft spot for them.  :)

We had a z4m coupe for a bit, with the s54.  The car was absolutely mega in every way, except no room for a dog.  Once we moved and got a dog, car had to go- just no room for the dog. :shrug emoji

The two cars I'll never sell...  The clownshoe is a non-M.  Of course it's a 2002 Z3 Coupe ?

Nah, it's ok.  I'm better with slower cars.  And after the z4mc, did an e46 wagon, which sucked.  It was terrible.  So bought a hail damaged e46m3 and transplanted the whole lot into the wagon, with bushings, Ohlins, wheels, more.  Then it was ok.  :)  But like I said, I'm better with slower cars.  And the dog has value- he's chased several bears out of the yard, watches out for my wife, and we had these the other evening... Normal house cat for scale, and a mountain lion ass.  I know he'd put that dude in a tree.  And also why I don't have a hand-bag sized dog...
