What did you do to your 2002 today !

Down to the finer points at last.  For instance, I have been having a little trouble fitting my size 13s squarely on the accelerator pedal.  That’s because the a/c console side panel (Clardy type) hangs over the pedal too far.  When driving with shoes (optional here in Florida, frankly), all my foot pressure drives against the top passenger side corner of the pedal, and I tend to lever the new gas pedal off the perfectly good nubs.  Since I had an extra console panel hanging around, I thought I’d experiment.  Between a cheapo Horrible Freight heat gun set on 280F, a (now defunct) pair of scissors, some seam sealer pliers and my vise, I managed to roll the panel up enough to gain an extra inch or two of foot room.  Will fit it tomorrow, see whether it’s enough.D5319E53-967B-4D51-AA27-714A3283BABB.thumb.jpeg.7e4b8bd66275ef39a23601a9fff93dc1.jpeg

All Amazon items. I do not have any before pics but it was awful. Faded and a shiny candy like shell over the whole thing. It feels like my 2019 Audi s4 wheel now! Took a couple hours but the stuff all dries really quick.

Thank you for this!!  I have a few similar steering wheels that I have had just sitting there and I did not know how to at least "try" to refinish them......this is awesome - thanks again.  Ordered it all!

I took it out for its first drive. It arrived (new to me) last wednesday and I was waiting for a decent day to take her our and drive it around town. It goes through all the gears and pulls well. excited to start working on this car and driving it around.

This post really needs a picture

Put my LSD diff back in fresh from Metric Mechanic!  They fixed up the guts but most importantly changed the ratio from 3.45 to 3.91 - just right for my OD 5 speed car!  Thanks to Jim Rowe getting it through the shop quickly and the excellent work.  I don't think it would have had it but I used Mo's stencil and painted an "S" on there also!

Today I spent a few hours at Bavarian Rennsport.

Bill & his son Darrel have plenty of work at the shop and the variety is very interesting.

I help-out when I can, in exchange for credit and a price break - plus good wrenching fun.

This morning we we found these in the shed there

and next they'll go on my '71 to work with the vented rotors up front.

@tomphot what type/ brand/ model lift is that. Does not looks like you have high ceiling garage or is it? Thanks

Lift is an extra tall Atlas.  I’m 6’5” and wanted something I could lift all the way and walk under without hitting my head.  I built ceiling at 12’ so I can have my 356 on it all the up and still walk around under.

Finally got the footing poured in my garage for the MaxJax.

Maybe 3 weeks for it to cure before proceeding.

Cut it close on concrete! Brought 9 bags home and used all of it except  maybe half a soup can full?

I'm beat
