What did you do to your 2002 today !

I took delivery last night, and took it for it's first fill up. My friend showed up in his 912 to say hi and check the car out. 

 

Ordered a few parts this morning, and will be working on the car this weekend.

I dyed the rear seats and side panels.
I couldn't get very good pictures but the results are amazing! It looks like a brand new interior. We'll see how well it holds up over time. Reviews say that lasts a long time with little issues as long as it's done correctly. The long term plan is a complete interior swap anyway so if it doesn't last, oh well.

Front nose panel was tagged into place, then we removed it so the welds can be grind down. Next job, rebuild the rear nose panel.

Back from Upholstery.  Again, Esty for the recommendations on carpet color.  Couldn't be happier with how the seats contrast against the carpet.

I have a fondness for Amco shift knobs.  Found one in leather and one with flaking chrome (M15 1.5).  Both were without the emblems.  Sanded and polished the metal knob.  Sketched up and machined two brass emblems.  Still need to bead blast to remove the machining marks and polish up.

When I pulled off my rear wheels I found one of my Tii brake cylinders was leaking and the other one the bleeder broke off so I needed 2 new to replace....well I went this way instead for my repair
