Even if this were true the going price for a pristine Turbo is, what, about $20k? This car would be better than a pristine b/c it would be new. Also, being sold by BMW they'd want a little premium. So, maybe the price would be $25-30k.

If you had $30k, would you spend it on 1974 technology? I know if I had $30k to blow, I'd invest $10-15k making my '02 really, really sweet and spend the rest on a newer car like a '95 M3.
