3D printing my Targa

My latest desktop 3D model and print project has a 2002 theme!

So, whilst my Targa is in the final stages of its 25 restoration - hopefully back on the UK roads for 2018!

I thought I'd 3D print a 1/16th scale version of my car - body panels and wheels done. Modelling floor next.

 

hopefully this won't take 25 years to finish....

Maxon C4D.

I modelled my car previously for a render project but since getting a 3D printer and printing various hard-to-get parts for my full size car, I thought an interesting challenge would be to use the model and see if I can optimise it for 3D printing.

Cool.  I use Autodesk 3ds Max for my animation work.

 

Can you share some renders of your "virtual" Targa?  A preview of your "real" Targa.

Wow, I have access to a HP Multi Jet Fusion printer and still cant get this done without 3D scan of the original. I nominate you to design our 02 parts from today. Both thumbs up.

One day it will be possible - just not at the moment, unfortunately!

Can do. but to be honest i'm more keen to get the full size one back on the road at this time!
