Nice '74 tii from an odd site...definite scam site!

Chassis VIN 2780567 per the eBay photographs (VIN 2782567 per the eBay listing description).  That would be a December 1973 tii.  Riveted-on metal VIN tag appears to be a new replacement.

Yeah, my tii filter was attached to that bracket with a hose clamp.

 

I bet the proper bracket isn't in attendance on this car.

The Seller has auctioned this car twice, that I know of. July & October 2017, and in both auctions quoted the VIN as 2782567. So, 2780567, was in a Copart auction back in Sep 2011 in Long Island, NY.

I figured the 2782567 was simply a one-off typo, and I posted the photo of the chassis VIN to emphasize the car’s current VIN, as visible on the car itself.  Now I wonder what VIN is on the title and that replacement VIN tag.

 

Of course the Jadegrun/Chamonix/whatever car in your photos has a (hacked or butchered, but existing) tii firewall notch and a snorkel in the radiator support, neither of which is present on the Sienabraun car with the VIN 2780567.  But...both the current Sienabraun 2780567 and the Jadegrun/Chamonix/whatever 2780567 display a pair of abandoned A/C hose holes in the radiator support, in a similar configuration, which strongly supports the continuity of the current Sienabraun 2780567’s chassis with the 2011 Jadegrun/Chamonix/whatever 2780567 chassis.  The 2011 2780567 is missing its tii airbox, explaining perhaps why the current 2780567 wears a 1972-73 tii airbox.

 

If the Sienabraun 2780567 is occupying a non-tii chassis, the swap would appear to have happened before the car reached Copart in 2011.

 

Sienabraun metallic— or any brown, for that matter — is not a customary dealer “go-to” color for dealers/flippers.  I was, and maybe still am, guessing a bona fide Sienabraun example figured into this “compendium” of tii and non-tii elements....
