Thx.   Can you tell me:

 a   How is this going to be different from factory original in terms of appearance, material or fit?

b. How long does it take to get to states?

same material. Proper reman version of the firewall insulation for the BMW 2002.Made  to look like the exact same version as the original.  Has the heat-insulating foil for the exhaust pipe and  upper part is made of a grey foam. See picture.

 

It is shipped via DHL and takes about 2 weeks to arrive. The price includes shipping costs.

Looks much different than the genuine BMW part, with regard to thickness / stiffness, color, cut/contour, and reflective finish. Might just be the photo. Genuine new version shown for comparison:

yes, they look somewhat different. At the moment it is the only option that actually works that we can get.

Make your own as I did:  From a junker, cut out metal firewall to serve as mold for fiberglass base and add cloth-backed aluminum for insulation.  The result, a durable three-layered insulator.
