How to patch cracked front grille? (4 headlight one)

Have obtained a 4-headlight grille setup. One of the grilles has a small hole/crack that I'd like to repair. The plastic seems to be a different composition to the factory 02 2-headlight ones. Is there some kind of patch material that can be used? I'd like to use something that binds to the base plastic and not some material that just 'sticks' to the plastic. Or is epoxy about all there is?

Also, can I spray paint the plastic and still have it original looking? What type of paint to use?

Anyone have suggestions??

TIA

Can you splint the crack from behind with a piece of scrap plastic then epoxy the splint in place. Better than trying to butt glue the crack.
