My Baur finally back on the road

Recommended Posts

Wow!!!!! A stunner in looks and uniqueness. More pix please of inside and engine and that top and rear window

And the color is my favorite since my ‘75 is Fjord too. Tell us more of the story...yours for 32 years or yours for the expensive 2 yrs of recommision?

Again ‘crackin’ as they say here in America... at least if you watch British TV shows here

It bore its slumber and resurrection well!  Bauers are way too uncommon in the US unfortunately--we can blame Mr Hoffman for that (and no tourings, either).  Love the soup plate wheels too.

cheers and happy motoring (to coin a phrase!)

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

And yes, more pix please, including engine bay and interior. This world needs as many Baurs as possible on the road!

Don’t let the fear of what could happen

make nothing happen…

The worst leak on my Baur was the seal between the soft top and the targa bar.  The factory weatherstrips were in decent condition so I added a small tubular rubber gasket along the sealing surface of the soft top.  That made latching/unlatching a little more difficult but the leak is gone.

Lovely example!
