Generous and nice!

VIN 2763480 was manufactured in February 1973. And it’s apparently a sunroof car (“2002 SR Tii”).

Regards,

Steve

That's what makes 02 owners great! Google Ludwig in Vail, it appears he is alive and well, maybe you can check with him who might have the car, or give the manual back to him, and let him know about the $93.5K car.

2763480.

Was owned by faq ID "net30" in 2011. Apparently net30 last visited this site in Feb '12, so maybe not around now.

net30 lived in Vero Beach, FL.

Thanks, Les,

But this is quite hopeful, as it at least shows a very decent car as recent as 7 years ago. This car is kickin’ around here!

And, as promised by the service booklet, it’s a factory sunroof car!

Best regards,

Steve

The FBI has nothing on you guys, I started laughing how you guys started tracking that car down, truly a close knit community!

Don’t give us too much credit…

I was entering another ‘02 in our Registry and this car showed up, uninvited, on the BAT site as “other recent sales of this model”. Intending to enter this car into the Registry as well, I searched on the VIN and found (1.) it was already in the Registry, albeit before it’s color change, and (2.) it already appeared in a couple threads, including the present one. So luck is the answer… ?

Let’s get these cars into the Registry!

Regards,

Steve

Is that AC unit the 2nd style from Frigiking?

Maybe, David! But I don’t really know.

Both Behr and Clardy have a horizontal arrangement of vents (and front openings for the evaporators). Frigiking certainly had a vertical stacking of vents (and a square front opening for the evaporator).

Because this follows the Frigiking route of vents and evaporator opening, I might refer to it as Frigiking V. 3.0. But I don’t see any labels, and I’m not certain there ever was a Frigiking V. 3.0. I thought there was a Frigiking V. 1.0, for short console cars (radio at bottom?), and a Frigiking V. 2.0, for long consoles (radio at top?).

Mike ( @Mike Self) probably knows more.

This strikes me as, possibly, a newer unit. Just as ICE AIR duplicated the Clardy in the modern era, I wonder if someone else duplicated the Frigiking style of evaporator/blower in the modern era.

Best regards,

Steve
