The slats, of course, were never sold separately, but since you’re “piecing” a grille back together, it would appear that any of the longer slats on 1966 through 1973 model year side grilles — left, right, top, or bottom — might satisfy your need. 1600-2 and 2002 grilles are the same: you simply add black anodized slat covers to create the 2002 appearance (or remove the black anodized slat cover to create a 1600-2 appearance). So I’d say you’re looking for parts or a “parts grille”.

I have a spare grill which I recently removed one slat to repair the grill on my 1600.  It is the passenger side.  I can cut out the top slat if you want it. It is in good shape just some glue from the black covers that were on it.  Free.  I used JB weld and some wire to attach it.

Mike, Let me know which ones you want and I will cut them out for you. Top one is going to 69-1600 and the one third from the bottom I used. As you can see from the photo some of the slats were painted flat black and the silver ones still have some glue residue on them.
