Storing windshield ideas

Looking for ways to make wall rack and safely store glass during restoration

Couple of thick dowels mounted to a board and slip pool noodles on the dowels.

 

or a rolling cart with vertical dividers and thick foam on the bottom

 

i stored glass in my garage just sitting on some foam.  Proved difficult when I had to move the pieces.

Under the guest bed!

I stored my windshields upright wrapped in a couple of blankets. They occupied a top shelf of the steel storage rack. Took up a lot of space but both survived perfectly for the two years they were out of the car.

 

Personally I would avoid having them lay flat for any length to time.
