Baur targa panel locking mechanism arm fell off

Hi all 

as the title indicates, the little locking pin arm for my targa panel fell off today. I can’t easily see how to fix it back in? 

Before I start taking bits apart has anyone any advice or experience of said part?

Good news, it’s not a hard repair over time both of mine have needed this repair...

1)remove the four screws  to have both parts

2) I drilled out the bolt hole slightly to install a larger stainless bolt with a nylon locking but with SS washers..

3) the larger bolt removed some of the play between the cam and teeth on lock down pin

 

take it out and it’s easy...

Thanks for the prompt response - i love an easy fix!

 

So just to clarify...once the 4 screws are out of the top plate the locking pin mechanism can be extracted from below through the slit in the windscreen surround trim?

And once removed, reconnect the arm (as your suggestion) and refit pin mechanism with arm attached from below via the trim slit?

 

I was concerned once i had undone those 4 bolts, everything would drop down into the windscreen surround - never to be found again!

 

I'll try tonight
