FWIW - according to the parts book, Switch 61 31 1 356 193 is for USA 2002 1974 & on, incl your '74tii.

I think there is a mix up on RealOEM regarding the part number.

 

Per the picture above, the one I am selling does not have the center pin.

 

I subsequently purchased the one with the center pin for the later cars.

Could be a mixup in the boxing, too.  My '72 definitely takes a 6-pin unit like this.  I had the opposite issue - I needed a 6-pin and bought an 8-pin.  I cut off the extra pins and it worked fine but for whatever reason the indicator in the switch doesn't flash.
