Steering Wheel Restoration

A gentleman named Bob Monetti restored the original plastic steering wheel of my 1961 Ford F-350.

The wheel was cracked in many places and had lost much of its original finish, virtually all of its original shine, and quite a bit of detail. He did a fabulous job restoring it. Not cheap.

Downside? The rest of the interior is going to need to look equally fabulous.

Since so many cars, throughout automotive history, have had plastic-covered steering wheels — and they all crack — there are actually lots of steering wheel restorers. If you don’t want to use Bob, check the services index of Hemmings Motor News.

Regards,

Steve
