Do not buy new belt trim pieces from BMW where they mount on sides of hood or trunk, they will not lay flat on the body and can not be made to fit.

I have the two that go on the sides of the trunk.  They are brand new in the packages from BMW.  Dated 2014.  I was hoping they did not have the current fitment issue that Chris is talking about, but they do.  They seem to fit in tight along the bottom, but the top edge does not.

 

They sure are shiny though.  Let me know if you're interested.

Djminkin...Did you get my answer about how old these pieces are. I said they were at least 9 years,

I bought them from the estate of a fellow who bought his car back about 11 or 12 years ago and began purchasing parts for a restoration, according to the executor.
