Price: $600
Location: Whittier, California

Description:

I bought this kit a while ago, I don't know what its worth to somebody, I seen a few the sold for about 1k a long time ago, but Im trying to be realistic so please make me an offer. It is Century Intake manifold with some kind of BMW Throttle body, Rajay turbo I don't know about condition but I called around and can be rebuilt; it has a BAE turbo manifold its a bolt but its possible to weld on a t3 mount, I wanted to go turbo but I have now come to a time to sell my INKA unfortunately, I do have a Hemi head for lower compression, so the bottom end could potential be used for higher boost, I think maybe couple hundred dollars is what I bought so if interested make me an offer.

Just want to chime in. I installed that same turbo kit in my 1980 320iS - which is what the system was designed for. Century was the largest BMW dealership in the country in the early 80s, located in LA. They developed this kit with BAE, using the Rayjay turbo. It was then sold through BMW dealerships to be installed in the facelifted (80-83) 1.8l 320i. The kit also came with the very important chromed pipes for the airflow from and to the turbo, and a switch for fuel enrichment. I paid more than your asking price for my kit, but it was complete (except for the fuel enrichment). I had my turbo rebuilt, which cost me about $800. Parts are not available anymore, so you have to find some oldschool turbo guy who can make them. Turbo is very smooth but only delivers about 6 psi of boost, kicking in above about 3,500 rpm. It does add about 50% power, as tested by Motor Trend in 1981. I have copies of all this and the manufacturer brochures, if someone wants to see it. Pictures attached.
