I'm working with the manufacture now to get bore specs.  They have a new color out too.

The bore hole size on the CMC 15" is 54mm. Will those fit a 2002?

I’m with Les on this!

I believe that the JWL mark appears on rims manufactured in many countries, and says nothing about the rim’s country of origin. Just as global rim manufacturers need to get KBA certification in order to sell their rims in Germany, global rim manufacturers obtain JWL certification in order to sell their rims in Japan. I believe your rim was manufactured in Italy, by FPS (hence, “FPS” and “Italy”) under license (“Licenza”) from the design’s “owner”. I don’t know who owns the 16-spoke rim design. And I have seen other examples of this FPS model, always in European settings. FPS makes very high-quality rims, which is probably why they were the manufacturers for the early and late OEM alloys, as well as the Italian-market dealer-option alloys!

These are also good-looking rims, but they’re not Japanese-made.

Daniel (MOJOJOY) has at least one example of this rim — albeit in an ET8 offset — shown in the Wheels Database:

Best regards,

Steve

My understanding is BMW 2002 has center bore of 57.1.  I'm aware that Miata's have a 54.1.  They show it on a Mini Cooper (on their website) which has a larger center bore of 56.1.  So I'm hoping they made the wheel for a more universal fit.

So it looks like the center bore is more universal.  It looks like it is 73.1MM.  So in theory I could run a 73.1 to 54.1 hub ring.  I'm going to take the leap and try them out.  I plan to run 195 tires with them, with no flares.  Thoughts?  I think I'll have to massage the fenders a little bit.

@SteadFast 73.1mm, really? Is that for the 14" wheels? The rep I spoke and the site below confirms that the 15" bore size is 54mm.

@SteadFast those appear to be the 14's. Not sure if what they list as hub diameter is the same as what we call bore hole diameter. Lost in translation...

@Teelinger

Okay, got the official response from the parent company.

14": 73.1mm

15": 54.1mm

So you're really only looking at the 14's then.  So the real question, will the 20 offset on the 14's fit without flares.  I know i'll have to roll the fenders and likely run 185 or 195 tires.  Thoughts?
