Not mine, but popped up in my craigslist alert. It's not too far away if anybody wants me to put eyes on it for them or get extra photos.

It's now on Ebay for a lot more than $3900.

That's insane! I talked to the original seller, it sold right away to a guy from northern Virginia. Funny how the eBay seller couldn't even be bothered to take new photos and just reused the Craigslist ones.

At least a new buyer will have lots of room to negotiate [emoji3]

"Usual rust spots" "500 miles on rebuilt engine"... that hasn't been run in 28 years. Could be a nightmare. And after restoration costs does not support square prices. Don't mind someone turning for a quick buck but lord knows what you are buying!

Ok, Seller has ended & restarted the auction with no "Buy it now".

I saw the auction get up to $8,100 but now it has been removed "because the item has been lost or broken"

I'm guessing he got a suitable offer to end it early outside of ebay.

Quite a few end that way. I wonder if it's to avoid paying the Ebay fee?

Yes, I'm sure that is a common driving factor given the current ebay fee structure. Another aspect might be the offer is good enough for the seller to be happy, and maybe higher than he thinks a second bidder will go to drive the price up to that point.

If I were in the sellers position, buying and flipping a car in a couple of days for $4k+ with out having to go get/transport/etc, I'd be happy and call it a day. ?
