Curious if you're considering an inspection and followup report, including a leak-down/compression test? IMHO it would be helpful to prospective buyers to have some professional perspective on the overall condition of your beautiful Baur.

Absolutely am - I did a compression test myself but am going to take it to a shop for a one as well as perceived condition - shop owner is a big euro car guy, mainly e30s and 911s - I don’t know what weight his opinion will hold, he’s certainly not a 2002 expert, more of a generally knowledgeable guy. However, I’m outside of buffalo and we’ve had snow on and off already - shop is only a mile away but have to wait for the right day weather wise.

Have you seen this?  Thanks to my friend Bob Kaufmann for the heads up on this a little while ago!

"This award winning collectable is priced to sell at $125,000."

Yikes! ;)

Is it only me that sees a cheaply done under side of that car? The right rear wing shows rust staining coming through, the spare wheel well looks poorly patched, as are the inner wing kick panels/front floors and then everything splattered with underconcealer. Not what I'd expect for a six (and a quarter) figure car.

No, not just you. Definitely not six figures worth of metalwork, nor finish.

I found the description from the Werk shop page where they say "We cut out all that bad metal and remade the body so she has her structural integrity again."

That's exactly what was done - not a showroom restoration that would be expected for the asking price.

Racing is Life - everything before and after is just waiting!
