FAQ Registry - How to?

I just discovered the 02/NK registry right here on the FAQ. Each has a photo, black box with type/date and number link to owner

 

How can I submit mine. I did not see a way to do it. Send a msg/pix/info to Steve??

Click on the Registry page, and bottom right click on "add new vehicle".

It is so easy that I can do it!!!

 

That blue “Add new vehicle” box is at the bottom of every page!

 

It’s great! But please get your Archives report (essentially for manufacturing date and original color) to make the Registry most usable and sortable.

I don’t have an answer for that, but BMW Group Archives seems to guard the database carefully. I’ve previously asked why they can’t digitize the data and make it widely available. Even if the original records are hand-written — and it’s not clear that they are, but even if they are — it seems like it could be digitized and then checked for accuracy.

 

I did enquire once and received the vaguest of non-answers. Imagine being able to sort that data and see, at a glance, how many Colorado ‘72 U.S.-spec tii’s were built, or how many U.S.-spec Bristol 2002’s were built. It would be great! ?
