Anybody know of any history on this 74 Tii sitting in a Palm Springs dealership by chance?  Sorry no Vin #. Sister looked at it and is now in another town.

I'll bet it's Palm Desert Auto, They spam the CL up and down the CA coast. It does say Palm Springs auctions on the window sheet.

Car looks nice from the pictures and at $26,500 could be a bargain. I'd get that thing on a lift asap , , have a test drive and arrive with cash in hand.

2782905 was on Ebay Dec '16 in Bakersfield & reportedly sold for $11,603.

 

It had some rust and a well worn back seat. Mtr was rebuilt prior to 2005 & front seats were re-upholstered.

Mileage reported at 93k, but speedo was a '71-'73 model.

Insert a bleh nothing special statement here. Looks prepped for resale purposes for sure. Could end up as one of those cars that repeatedly tours the flipper dealer douche circuit. 

 

but what do I know, I'm bitter according to some here.

Could be.  Won’t know wether it’s a polished turd or monies were spent on it until it’s inspected. 

I’m sure the dealer didn’t buy it to put money into it. 

Thought maybe the previous owner might have been on here and could shed some light.  

Never hurts to look at them all.

The oddly white (Chamonix?) rockers certainly suggest a color change. The late green (Jadegrun?) is a great color, but get the car’s data from BMW Group Archives (info.grouparchiv@bmwgroup.com) so you, at least, know what you’re buying.

Yeah, that rust ain't good.

The car was repainted in 2008, which may account for slightly differing shades.

The car still has a slightly skewed front centre grill, no engine bay side seals and no covers for the front shock bearings, so the current Seller hasn't rectified the small $ items, so you wonder how well have the larger $$$ items (rust) been done.
