I had a chance to buy a Triumph Spitfire with licence plate LES 444 for £300 back in the ‘60s. However, I was living on a college grant at the time, which was as useful as the UK pension is now. Couldn’t afford it.

My new M2 came with the California plate 'BMW M2.'  With the new M2 out I'm hoping some yahoo with a new black M2 will think it's worth something.  Don't know why the PO didn't just get 'M2,'  I think that would have been cleaner- but then again, so much was over done on this car- suppose it makes sense.
