AC bracket needed

Recommended Posts

I've been lurking around the site for over a year now, and have learned an incredible amount of info about my '76 "02.  Thanks to all for such a good site.  Anyway......I've decided to convert my nonfunctional Clardy system to R134a; I've got it removed, checked the evaporator, and am ready to get serious. I've read  Hack Mechanic's book, ordered a Sanden compressor, and thought I'd put out a call for a Hobiedave bracket before I start cutting and welding.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I got a couple of responses and everything looks settled.  Thanks everyone for treating a newbee so kindly.  I've got more problems and questions, but my one-track mind tells me to get the AC up and running before I ask any more favors.  THANKS

Out of curiosity, where are you located?

Cheers,

Ray

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P
Two running things. Two broken things.

I'm in southern Oregon, about 50 miles from Cal.  I've tried to add a picture of my 02, but haven't been able to pull it off yet.  It is a sunroofed '76, serial # 2378697.  Good condition; drives nice, runs nice.  I'm trying to decide if I want to go the resto route and paint it, but I think I'll just drive it and enjoy it as it is for now.  I do all of my own work and painting it , even there is almost no body work required,  seems like a daunting task to a guy who prefers mechanical work over body work.  I'm getting ready to put in E36 front seats to replace the "ho-hum" original fronts, but other than that it is very original.  You'll be hearing more from me (questions, questions, questions) now that I've finally logged on to this great site.  Thanks for the inquiry.
