Hi Pat,

my original description was misleading, so I edited it.

I am glad you asked, since it made me take the time to put the number into realOEM

51711813507

Door weatherstrip

L=910  From: 11/01/1970

            To: -

I don't know why they do not give a To: date, but it appears as though they should fit a '70.

It is part number one in their diagram below.

Door, front

Thanks Mike.

So only used from 70-72 then?

I guess I'll do more research.

Not for my '76... I know that much.  So I might as well pass them along.

Tom

EDIT

a little searching brought up this post by Lars, which may be helpful

I think that part # is a new one for a part that went NLA years ago.

The original part # is 51 21 6 454 224 and that is shown (old parts book) for all Euro (incl Turbo) & US '02s except the 1502.

My first '02 (Oct '70 Euro LHD) had these on, but I have never seen another '02 with them.

Hey Tom

I have not much experience with anything prior to 1970 so I am not sure what was offered or available. These two piece moulding I believe were specific to models up to 73 when they went to a single much wider moulding that ran I believe to 76. I base that on having parted number of cars between 70-76.

My car was late late 71 production (reg. as a 72) but has a number of pieces  that were a mix of euro and NA options so  my observations could be skewed somewhat. ......  hth

Thank you Les.  So do these simply fit over the vertical seam between inner and outer sill panels?

My '76 has the plastic sill covers, with a different, smaller, tubular seal attached.

I thought item 1 referred to the part that attaches to the bottom of the door, but I realise now, looking at the profile in your picture, that this is not that.
