The stone guards looked a bit cheesy with the Maxtel logos but the screen printing literally wiped off when I sprayed some carb cleaner on them. Might get some SEV Marchal stickers or similar to put on them (until the real thing falls into my lap!)

Thanks to MattL's images above, I got around to making some brackets that slide into the front bumper mounting holes. The lights are cheap Hellas, and still need some wiring. I do like the placement so far - and a perfect way to turn the bumper holes into an asset.

So, just to round this out I thought that I would post what I got. I am looking out for some nice period correct lights but in the mean time I have fitted these Maxtel lamps. They look like Cibie Oscars, are made of stainless steel but only set me back $49.99!

I mounted these via the holes already drilled in my bumper. The stone guards looked a bit cheesy with the Maxtel logos but the screen printing literally wiped off when I sprayed some carb cleaner on them. Hi,

That looks nice, but unless you are on a perfectly flat road those will shake unless you reinforce the bumper or have you already done that?

I haven’t reinforced the bumper (yet). I have given them a shake and they are not too bad. The holes are in a relatively stiff spot, located as close as you can get to the overrider (and the bracket).

I will give them a go in a realistic setting though suspect that I may need to add some additional support at the top.  The base has a large (maybe 3”) diameter washer on the bottom though it does have large rubber washers that may add to the shake.

EDIT:   I should add that I got Simeon's permission to post this photo.  No disrespect intended.

I like that they're pointed correctly for RHD cars. A+
