Great thread.  TurboPR..would love to see a couple more pictures of your car.  After finishing the restomod on mine….sort of tinkering with the idea of building a flared fender track focused car…that would look as good as yours.  I bought mine two years ago to go along that theme but when it got to me from California, it was too pretty to take away from it’s original condition so left it.  Your car looks great.

Barney, I really like your (both) set ups.  Could you give us details on how / where you mounted those - maybe a picture of the brackets and where you sourced them.   I was looking at my ‘ not so pretty’ bumper mounts as an opportunity to mount them offsetting the bracket to align the lights where I like the,..

I currently have a set of NOS stock clear/yellow Carellos that I got from a friend.

I've always been a CIBIE guy from the 70's but they are near impossible to find, and expensive if they are in good shape. Bumper was already drilled for a pair of lamps.

These go with my Italian BWAs better anyway.

Main beams are vintage Hella H4's with 65/100's.

These were on my '73 when I bought it from the original owner. He had it wired with a switch under the dash that would switch between yellow and white, as one would do in Europe for different colour regulations per country.

I like the look of the lights mounted adjacent (close) to the headlights.  Can anyone suggest or show a photo of mounting hardware that would bolt to the bumper mounts?  In a perfect set up, a mount that would have some flexibility to left/ right AMD  up/down - even an inch or so….on those triangular frames would be ideal.  Any ideas?

Practically speaking, most everything over 150mm will need a stabilizer rod, so if you are aiming for larger lights then take that into consideration. There are also at least two points behind the grill with pre-existing holes to take the rods.

There was someone on FAQ offering nice stainless brackets some 2 or 3 years ago, as this topic has been handled in lots of threads in the past... this one was "show me your driving lamps" instead of "show me your brackets" though some of the lamps looked like fog lights to me, but what do I know.

I am building a conservative restomod..so purists please indulge me..just asking opinion…you see with the headlight mod I did, thinking about the 7” Hella  black series…which is well…black…looks pretty cool though and is white of course when lit…mounted adjacent to what I have now OR change back to a clear headlight with matching clear driving lights Hella 500.  I don’t think a clear driving light or vintage driving light works with the head light I have now so asking.  Any opinion is appreciated.
