It’s a brake pipe. Is that what you wanted to know or just to see it located in a diagram?

 

Looks like it’s for a later model ... e.g. E34.

I think BMW sell a range of pre-made pipes now rather than individual pipes for individual cars. You then just pick the one to the nearest centimetre and bend accordingly.

It's one of the pair of hard lines that go to the front brakes on the strut.  It's straight so you have to bend it to fit properly.

Ok... So is it an M10, 220cm, thats like 7' 3" My eyeball seamed to say 5-6', should be easy to get at Canadian Tire or Parts Plus?

According to the part #, it's 340mm (13.4 inches)
