Had to show one with the pup!  Unfortunately he passed away in 2017.  I have had these on for a couple of years now.  Found them in a junk yard on a really beat up E30.  100 bucks for 5, polished them up & they don't look too bad.  Have been thinking about getting some E30 steelies and painting them silver to give the look of the old Alpina's or Compy's.

so I finally sent them back to an E30 and went with Panasports.  Great decision as far as I'm concerned, but I do sorta miss having roundel center caps; might need to shop around for some BMW Panasport caps!

ah!  another enlightened soul!  ?

bmw makes center cap stickers in a bunch of sizes.  i got some for my Rota RB wheel caps.

"While they looked great, I got very tired of cleaning them, and even more tired of needing to replace a lost center cap about every 6 months to a year, so I finally sent them back to an E30 and went with Panasports."

I too, tired of losing the center caps, so I did away with them!

I'm with you, I also had E30 basketweaves on my former tii and every six months or so I was losing (or getting stolen) centercaps and they were $70 each ten years ago. Being the wheel whore I am, I had nine extra basketweave wheels in my parts stash in my quest to find centercaps.   Enough with the madness, I went with 15X6 Alpina replica's with no center cap issues.   The other option is to go with an aftermarket (MSW, Ronal, etc...) open lug basketweave wheel.  https://www.bmw2002faq.com/wheels/2002/msw-r102/

Perfect topic.  I just got a 14x6.5 bbs style 5 basket weave.

ASK:

1.  Do I need to change my Original lug knots/ bolts from my '72 E10?

2.  Do I need spacers?

3.  Am I going to have issues because I just installed 205/70-14?

Let me know.  Thanks.

1 - not if they are alloy wheel nuts

2 - no if using 185 or 195’s mine fit perfectly, in fact they are a near flawless fit on an 02 and OEM to boot!

3 - do you mean 205x60x14, 205’s May need a spacer

Thanks for the response.  I have not installed my tires yet, but I guess I'll find out when I get it from the shop this weekend.

by the way, I got my information  that I can use 205/70-14 from here:  https://www.bmw2002faq.com/forums/topic/113414-tires/?tab=comments#comment-181783

That thread is for NK cars.  Do you have one of those or a 2002?  2002's use smaller diameter tires.
