New Addition: 2002 #3

New Acquisition:  My 3rd 2002

One year after completion of a restore/rehab (define it any way you want) of my '74 tii, my wife, Lynn, told me to get another project and be out of the house more.  Of course, I did not want to disobey her, the wonderful angel/flawless human that is her.

'70 body, '75 block, '83 head, and '89(?) seats.  Twin side draft Solex 40 PHH.  New F and R bumpers.  Black body, Sahara (the original color) bay and trunk.  25 stickers.  Exactly what I was looking for:  a potential '02 hot rod, the challenge of twin side draft carbs, extra fun gauges, and lovely body/paint imperfections and patina.  Overall, quite a solid and fun vehicle.  Plenty of work ahead to assure its reliability and my safety, and then drive the pee-pee out of it.

Tim, thank you.

Jeff and InterCity Lines, thank you.

Photos:  delivery at WalMart; at my home; at its new home with its stablemate; a trunkful of goodies

Larry, welcome to the ROW (roundie owner's group)...sorry to say that spare tranny is a 4 speed...

Presume you'll be driving it to Mid America next year.  Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Very nice!  It even came with its own air compressor?!?  I spy a ti air cleaner assembly and the little Solex book.  That book doesn't have nearly enough content on the PHH carbs.

Judging by the 'Capitola' license frame and the KPIG sticker, that car probably spent some time in the Santa Cruz area where I live.  KPIG is one of our local radio stations 107 Oink 5 (107.5 FM)
