CL 1971 "BMW 2002 ti" NM/NA

A 121TI head — shown, I’m certain, because it represents 100% of the seller’s claim that this is a ti — does not designate a ti: the 121TI head was a refinement of the 121 head and some tii’s, and some plain old 2002’s, received 121TI heads.

Besides the 12-fuse fuseholder, post-silver-dollar gauge faces, long console, long-tail rear bumper, etc. (the stuff of the Modell 71, as noted by Jam3422 and 02Les), there are no brackets for a ti airbox, no ti clock, and the May 1971 date on the head — if the head is original to the car — is after ti production ceased.

234 bhp? No wonder that thing’s on fire... ?

Regards,

Steve

So many things not right about this.

How about the claims that it is kind of rusty, but appears to have the trim off, and a bunch of overspray, like it just was painted?

"While I was painting over the rust I noted that the car is rusty".

Two carbs, and a ti head do not a real ti make.

SHOW A PIC OF THE ALPINA ALLOYS!
