For what it’s worth, the emissions equipment on a 1976 California version is the same as all 1975 U.S. cars. And since most 1975 ‘02 owners have removed their cars’ emissions controls by now, there are a few of these systems still kicking around.

If the car was not originally sold in CA you can use the 49 state equipment which is not the thermo reactor and less cumbersome.  

 

Your biggest challenge will be a working diverter valve and the dash pot for the throttle deceleration. Finding a usable air pump too is tough but possible.

I have everything in a plastic tote from my formerly Bay Area '76. It had passed CARB before I bought the car 6 years ago, but since I am in TN, I took everything out very carefully. Make me an offer if interested, and I can weigh it for a shipping estimate.
