Looking for 3.91 open diff

Recommended Posts

Long-neck differentials were phased out in early 1969. In general, a 3.91 is an e21differential, hence a short-neck differential. A 3.90, used in 1976 49-state versions of the ‘02, is, indeed, an ‘02 differential and also a short-neck differential.

Based solely on odds, I’m guessing that the original poster — who either has a post-early-1969 1602 or, possibly, an early 1600-2 converted to a short-neck rear subframe — is looking for a short-neck differential. But, yes, the forum needs more info to confirm this.

Regards,

Steve
