Seller is pretty fun in correspondence. There are people beating down his door to buy this car that he’s had listed a couple weeks but not sold. I recall Bill in MI sold this car a while back and there was some tie to a FAQ member.

Since "Rare Rides" (MI) did this car (Nov '18), it seems to have bounced from one "dealer" to another & has done zero miles since (according to miles posted by Sellers).

In April, Westside Mercedes (CA) were asking $82k.

The current Craigslist Seller also has it on Ebay.

I don't mind paying the valuation to the builder/enthusiast who pours their talents into a car. When all these Wayne Carini wanna bee's jack up prices cause their stink is on a car,  it messes up the hobby and community aspect big time.  The lessor mechanically inclined tend to think this egotistic flipper tide rises all boats. When you can actually build it yourself and know what it takes to make a nice car, don't believe the hype.

When the salesman makes more money than the craftsman there is something fundamentally wrong.

A semi-similar car on BAT is being pimped by a seller and not the builder https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-bmw-2002-54/ with many superlatives touted from the comments. From my POV all I see are the amateurish craft details of the build.

but what do I know, as bitter as this sounds, it's true.
