Funny 1984 flashback

If you have the July 1983 (or maybe '84, it was awhile ago!) it has my very first Roundel article, called "Iophobia."  That means "a fear of rust."  and you'll see pictures of my '69 when I first started addressing its accumulated rust.  I didn't start my column until 1994.

I sold my 72 Colorado tii in 1983 for $5700. I was the third owner and the car was very clean but not showroom

by any stretch. That was on the SF peninsula... 5 plus was the goin' rate for nice tii's ...source being the SF/San Jose newspapers.

*I'd just got back from driving it down into Baja on a surf trip. I came back broke and was forced to

sell it.....I was an 18 year old dumb ass

I paid $4500 for my '74 Fjord tii back in 1986.  It was advertised in the San Jose Mercury newspaper.  I remember that there were a couple of tiis for sale in that paper and also a black 2002ti.   Those were the days...

My first car was a 74 in 76 I was 19 I paid 4200 for it, my dad looked it over and said I had no Fing respect for money!  I think that’s why I kept it forever, I refreshed that car and gave to my son Kane a few years back...

Here's an even funnier flashback from 1984!  Me with my first 1976 2002 that I purchased in 1983 for $5000 with 89k on it, from the original owner in Diamond Bar.  Notice the period correct Guess jeans....
