I'm living close to Stefan and Joachim from BTS Autoteile (they're mostly co-working with repro parts) and do know both of them personally for long years now.

 

They've tested and measured an early prototype of the nose panel on a still original car that never had an accident. The results were added into tooling and production which should guarantee a good fit.

Actually Hoods are probably the next 'High Demand' piece and likely one of the more difficult to produce.  There is a local BMW shop and collector who would like to be able to buy  a few hoods for restorations and parts.

Maybe someone out there is thinking about remaking them, I wonder if BMW releases it’s tooling or does someone have to do it all themselves?

Trunk lid should also be available from BMW.

 

I think trunk floors and doors are pieces that are NLA, but highly in demand.

There’s not been trunk lids for a long time,

Whilst BMW haven’t said they are NLA, they certainly haven’t made any!

I can get mine repaired but it will cost the same as my guesstimate for a new one, if BMW don’t release any next year I will get mine fixed, that’s sure to get new ones released ?
