driveshaft balancing

Lord adhesive 406 is a two part adhesive used as a welding replacement in automotive and motorsports industries. It’s lighter than welding but I’m not sure how you would measure the weight of the adhesive itself, it would work to attack metal weights without heat distortion though. It sets very quickly.

if there is excess of weight then the metal can still be drilled/buffed to compensate.

i was looking also at some CV boot clamps. they are much smaller and subtle.

i would so like to find miniature, very narrow, hose clamp alike

yes i saw them, its regular cv boot clamps, problem is that they dont offer a lot of inbalance to play with compared to hose clamps.

it might be good only to hold a piece of weight specifically id say.

Other Problem, most flanges and mounts on the car itself has tolerances that are way off

YES!!!

Or they get bent, misdrilled, etc.  I chased the flange on the 4.44 diff for MONTHS before I figured out it was one part of the problem.

Likewise, if the transmission is dropped on its output shaft, the shaft itself can bend.  Not as big a danger in a BMW

transmission, but in the Nismo version, it's got 18" after the intermediate bearing.  So a small bend in that shaft

leads to a very waggling flange.

It all adds up...

believe me it doesnt take a lot to compromise completely the balancing of a DS....0,010" and you can feel it, especialy if the DS is not well balanced to start with.
