Jim....Back then all my pictures were in hard copy so no opportunity to show them to many people.  I scanned a few to keep online.  I put over 210,000 miles on it before I started the restoration.  It was my daily driver and as you can see I waxed it to death and it was never garaged.

and here's Wolfgang (and me) about ready for his trip to the BMW CCA Foundation museum exhibit in January 2019.

First 2 are of the 1600 when I bought it in 1985. (I guess you might call those my delivery pictures, me with a mullet is just a bonus for everyone here...hey, it was 1985)  3rd is the 1st restoration done between 1985-1986.  2nd restoration was done around 2000-2001, have not found those pictures yet.  4th is 2016 after installing the E30 basketweaves.  Last is at the Grand Prix Festival in the Village of Watkins Glen this past September, 2019.
