EXHAUST LEAK HELPPPP!!

I was driving heard a metal clunk and started to make a ticking noise, I can feel the air coming from that hole! is there supposed to a bolt there?

I would think that's for the bottom of the heat shield and it shouldn't be drilled through but who know after all these years..

Even if it's not drilled through, you'll get an exhaust leak from the edge of the manifold adjacent the bolt.  It presents as a ticking sound.  Easy fix.  New bolt with loctite.  Check all other bolts as well.

I cant tell what's happening there from that poor picture. Is that the heat shield or the manifold?

A few more better pics would help a lot.

It’s the manifold not the heat shield.

Stick a piece of wire in the hole and see if it bottoms out at around 1/2 to 3/4" it should.

If the hole is thru the manifold, you would need to wear asbestos gloves.  It would fry anything nearby.  At idle the exhaust is about 600F and running hard 1000-1200F

Well that hole is too far down towards the back of the mani to be a heat shield bolt. I would try to work a mirror behind that area check for cracks.

Assume the metal clunk you heard was whatever a PO had attached there (welded/threaded) falling off.

If the hole is threaded you can fix it with a bolt, if not, some welding required.
