(Massholes Needed) Registering a Car in Mass

So getting to a point where I’ll need to register my 1600 soon. Looking for some advice from others who went through the process in Massachusetts.

 

I purchased the car in 2016 in CT. I have an “Official” CT bill of sale signed by both parties. I also have the CT registration from the car in 2016. No title.

 

I’ve heard Mass DMV will give you hell without the title. From my experience, they can barely handle renewing my drivers license.

I registered my ‘76 In MA that I bought in NH without a title and only a bill of sale. No problems at all. The RMV website might be able to answer for sure though.

 You can still get a title in Maine should you need one but I suspect that the year of your car precedes the year titles were required
