Vent Window Frames

I’m looking for a very nice set of vent window frames. In particular I need the driver side. This is going on a car that’s had a full restoration so I’m looking for something that matches the condition of the rest of the car.

You should get them re plated,  Its a bit of work but worth it if you are  looking to compliment your restoration.

Whatever you find on eBay or what anyone is willing to sell will need to be sent to Speedway to be restored. I couldn't find any in good shape & the original ones on the car weren't up to the level my restoration. Sent them to speedway for removing the hazed anodizing & had them ceramic coated. They are better than new.

I was also looking at King of Trim to redo them. I was worried they might not come out well, especially since they are riveted together. Do you have any pics of them after they were redone?

Those turned out really nice. I’ll definitely explore going that route instead of looking for a nice set

FYI the ones available from Walloth-Nesch are anodized black.

Re: Vent window frames:

 

The window 'frames' are aluminum, and the oft-corroded corner piece is chromed pot metal (as are the small hinges bits). When I did a set, I couldn't find a vendor to plate the whole unit in one process; so I disassembled the whole thing, polished and ano/brite-dipped the aluminum and had the pot metal parts polished and re-chromed. Then reassembly with both regular and fancy rivets. -KB

They quoted me $550-$750 per window frame. New brite dip on the aluminum pieces and chrome on the bottom segment.

$700 sounds right & about what I paid per side.
